We are delighted to announce the launch of Bookbite - a great new resource for older internet users.
We have also been thrilled that it attracted a huge amount of publicity from the very first day with features in The Times, BBC online and even a mention on the 7:00am news on Radio 4's Today programme (see below).
Bookbite was commissioned by Booktrust in partnership with WRVS and UK online centres. Its focuses on sharing the pleasure of reading and writing between users in a target age group of over 60. It is bursting with imaginative features and resources and it is full of opportunities for users to comment, add reviews, talk to each other in the forum and get involved. Funded by the Transformation Fund, its ultimate aim is promoting IT skills and internet use.
Bookbite uses our latest CMS - built entirely on an open source platform.
