Most of our clients find themselves doing business out on the road. Whether it's a major art fair or a short trip, being able to get to your database means never being out of the loop and always being able to do business. The Artlogic Online service is available not just where there is a desk and WiFi but wherever there is a phone signal. But you don't need to install anything, copy files or synchronise.
How to access Artlogic Online when you're out and about
There are a number of ways to stay connected when you're travelling. All modern laptops support wireless internet through a 3G dongle, or WiFi hotspots, and mobile devices give you a great way to access online content in compact form. You can buy a USB dongle from any mobile phone shop and have pay a small amount for a day's worth of unlimited bandwidth - perfect for the infrequent traveller. Many smartphones, such as the iPhone, also allow you to share their internet connection on a laptop or tablet through a feature known as 'tethering' or 'personal hotspots'.
Although you can use Artlogic through any mobile web browser, we now specifically support the iPad for most Artlogic functionality. Limitations of touch screens and Mobile Safari do mean that there are a few things you can't do - edit mailings, exporting Word documents, or utilise certain rich text fields for example - but it does put the entirety of your inventory, contacts, and invoicing database quite literally in the palm of your hand.
In addition, you can create beautiful presentation documents specifically designed for the iPad screen. Create PDFs quickly and easily in Artlogic online, sync them to your iPad through iTunes, and you're ready to show presentation documents about each of your artists wherever you go.
We also have a handy quick-access page designed for the iPhone that lets you look up an artwork or contact quickly and directly. It's perfect for showing off that one artwork or finding contact information in a hurry.
Always up-to-date
Because your database is stored on our servers and accessed using a web browser, you can get to your data from anywhere, on a wide variety of devices. A lost or broken device doesn't mean losing your critical information.
It also means that your information is always up to date. You have instant access in real time to the same data as your colleagues back home, without having to synchronise changes, download new files, or install software on each computer you want to use.
